On Friday, Axios reported that Apple was set to announce its next iPhone, and it was expected to have a price tag of $1,000.
While there is no firm date, Apple’s new iPhone 7 could have a starting price of $2,000, and a maximum retail price of around $3,000 (that is, a price that is almost twice as high as the iPhone 6S).
The new iPhone, codenamed “iPhone 7 Plus,” is the second iPhone model from Apple to feature a curved display, the iPhone 7 Plus.
Apple’s first iPhone, which launched in September of 2015, featured a flat display.
On Thursday, Apple also confirmed that it will be making two new iPhones with a 5.5-inch display, which is the same size as the 6-inch iPhone 7 and 8-inch screen of the iPhone X. The iPhone 7 will be available starting March 17, 2017, the company said.
Apple also confirmed the company will launch two new Apple Watches this year, with a price range of $249 and $299.
